Nothing should be taken for granted!
There are many reasons why it is important to perform year-end maintenance on your watercraft, whether it is a jet ski, a RIB, or a small boat. Even if the season went smoothly, it does not mean that everything is in order mechanically, especially regarding hidden components that are difficult to inspect.
This is the case with the water jet systems of our jet skis and tenders which, although functional, may be damaged and, as in this instance, compromised. An impeller whose profile has been completely deformed loses much of its efficiency, also causing vibration that can lead to the failure of the shaft seals and water jet pump seals.
Proper winterization is a guarantee for a trouble-free summer season.
